Add / Edit Option
Name
Here you put the name of the option you wish to make available for this product.
Description
Here you can describe the option in greater detail. This text will appear in a popup window when a customer clicks the option during an order. Click the 'Advanced' button to associate a link to page describing this option for the customer to learn more. If a link has been specified, this link will appear in the popup window. If both text and a link have been specified both will appear to the customer.
Status (Active)
The active status allows you to specify when an option will appear for a paricular product, and deactivate others that don't apply to that particular item. Use deactivate, for example, when you run out of products of a particular type. If you are using the EZ-PageBuilder Shopping Cart Block you may need re-submit your Global Information or re-save your page in order for these changes to take effect.
Display Format
Free Input
Free Input configures your option to allow a customer to enter free-form text up to the length you specify. Specify the display size of the free input field, as well as the maximum character acceptance length by clicking 'Advanced'. Option values will be ignored when Free Input is selected.
Choice Box
When Choice Box is selected, your option and its values will appear as a drop-down menu to the customer who is placing an order. As they switch the option values they will be able to see the price adjustments and any replacement images accociated with that value.
Add Values: Click the add button to add new option values.
Edit Values: Click the 'edit' link next to any option to edit the option value. Add / Edit Option Value
Move Values Up / Down: Click the up and down arrows to change an option value's positioning in the resulting drop-down list.
