With the Maintain Products interface, you are able to view all of your products. From here you can create products, edit products, search for products, and maintain product options.

The Maintain Products interface allows you to see your product listing in different "Views." You can either view All Products, view products by Category, or further refine one of these views by finding products by Keyword Search.

To view all of your products either click "All Products" from the Maintain Categories interface, or within the Maintain Products interface, select "All Products" from the drop-down menu and click "Go".

The "All Products" view allows you to see a listing of all your products, regardless of what category they are in, including products that don't belong to any category. Your product listing will be ordered according to the sort order you specified in your Catalog Configuration.

Because the products listed in the "All Products View" don't belong to the same categories, the Unassign function will be disabled.

From the "All Products" view you can further refine your search by using the Find Product keyword search.

To view products by according to a certain category, either click the "Products" link from the Maintain Categories interface, or within the Maintain Products interface, select a category from the drop-down menu and click "Go". The Category view allows you to see a listing of all your products in the specified category. Products that are cross-listed in multiple categories will appear once in each category they are associated with. It doesn't matter through which category view you edit a particular product. The "Category Filter" view will also be sorted according to your specified configuration.

If you further refine your view by using the Find Product search, all products listed will still be those associated with the current category.

To view products that have been unassigned either click "Unassigned Products" from the Maintain Categories interface, or within the Maintain Products interface, select "Unassigned Products" from the drop-down menu and click "Go".

The "Unassigned Products" view allows you to see a listing of just those products that haven't been assigned to a category. If you wish to move an unassigned product to a specific category, simply Unassign function will not appear for this view.

As with other views, you may narrow down the selection of products by using the Find Product keyword search.

Copy Options

The "Copy Options From..." function in Maintain Options also uses the same type of product search.

To Add a new product to your catalog, click "Add Product." Adding a product from a Category Filter View will automatically associate the current category with your new product. Adding a new product from the Maintain Categories interface, or while viewing All or Unassigned products will make the item appear in Unassigned Products, unless one or more categories are specified.

Products can be deleted permanently from your catalog by turning on the checkbox to the left of the product and clicking "Delete". Checking the box for multiple products will delete many products at once.

Note: No warning is given before products are deleted. All Options, Search Keys, and other associations are lost permanently.

To edit a product click on the "Edit" link on the same line as the product you wish to edit.
