Font | Color | Size
The Font | Color | Size option is used to format the appearance of text within the EZ-PageBuilder™ tool. Anywhere the “Font | Color | Size” button is found this tool can be used by simply clicking on those buttons.

Directions

This tool is divided into 4 separate sections.

FONT FACE

  1. Select the font (style) or face that you would like to use for the text you are editing. (The default is Times New Roman)

The fonts provided are used commonly by most browsers. If you notice that a few of the fonts you have selected are defaulting to Times New Roman, than your browser is not setup to display those fonts.

FONT SIZE

  1. Select the font size you would like to use. The standard size is 3 (which is also the default) and shows up as a 12pt. Font.

FONT COLOR

The color of the text will always default to the global text color until this font color attribute is changed. The color of the text when it is a link will be the global link colors when this color attribute is set to the same color as the global text color. When this color attribute is changed the link will not change colors after it is visited.

Using the Color Wheel

The color wheel is used to visually select the color you would like.

  1. Click on the color you would like to use. Notice that the color shows in the display window and the Red, Green and Blue fields change. These are the RGB codes for that specific color. We will discuss these codes in the text below.
  2. If you want to select black click on the outer black ring. If you are trying to select pure white, you can click on the exact center of the color wheel. However you may end up with some traces of other colors. In this case it is best to use the color drop down box or the RGB code text boxes.

Use this tool to select the colors by name that you would like to use. If you would like to find out what a color looks like click on the “View Colors” button to open the color table.

  1. Select the color you would like to use from the drop down list. These colors are all “Web Safe” colors because they will all show on any browser. Notice that the color will change in the display window and the RGB codes will also change as you select each color.

Using the RGB code text boxes

If you know the color you would like by it’s RGB code instead of it’s name you can use the RGB code text boxes on the right side of the window.

  1. Enter in the first 2 characters of the code (excluding the # sign) into the first text box
  2. Enter the next 2 characters (the third and fourth) into the second box.
  3. Enter the next 2 characters (the fifth and sixth) into the third box.
  4. After you have entered the characters for the last text box click elsewhere on the screen to get that color to show in the display window.
The RGB text boxes also let you mix how much red, green and blue you would like in a color. The scale for each color is as follows.

(The least amount of this color) 0 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 A B C D E F (The most)

Examples: White = Red-FF Green-FF Blue-FF
Color of the Title on this page = Red-99 Green-33 Blue-33

THE BRIGHTNESS TEXT BOX

Use this text box to control how dark or bright the color you have selected will display. If you are using the color wheel all the colors displayed there are the brightest version of that color, you will need to use the brightness box to create dark colors like Navy Blue.

  1. Either use the up and down arrows to increase or decrease the brightness
  2. Or enter in the percentage of brightness you would like to use. For entering the percentage you will need to click elsewhere on the screen for the changes to be displayed in the display window.

APPEARANCE

Here you can add special features to your text, such as; bold, italics, and underlined.

  1. Click on the check box next to the setting you wish to place a small check mark in the box. The display window should change to match your settings.

When you are finished with all your font settings click on the “OK” button.

Click “Cancel” if you decide not to apply your changes.
