After setting up an email address, there are a number of ways that you are able to access your email. Here is some important information pertaining to your email account in particular when setting up to retrieve your mail. There are specific instructions for setting up mail in Microsoft Outlook and Outlook Express as well as some general information used to setup mail clients in general. This page is CUSTOMIZABLE to your account when you access it from your account under Administrative Tools - Setup Email (select an email account) and click the "How to retrieve email from this account" button.

General Mail Client Setup Information

You will be able to use this information to configure most mail clients.
This information will contain your email address, your POP3 incoming mail server, our SMTP outgoing mail server (you could also use your ISP's outgoing mail server) and email account login name. For security and privacy reasons we will not display your password.

Note: If you use "smtp.eznettools.net" as the outgoing mail server it does require the same authentication as the incoming mail server

The information above is generic. You will need to enter your own information. To find this information, click here and pay special attention to the "Get Info" section. Here you will be able to see what your domain is for the specific email(this will not always be a .com), the account name(ie. x300000a), and the password(if you have not already set it yourself).

1. Once you have opened Outlook Express, you will want to go to the Tools menu and select Accounts. If the Internet Connection wizard Starts skip ahead to step 3.
|
|
|
2. From the Accounts window you will want to click the Add button and select Mail.
|
|
|
3. On the "Your Name" page enter the name you will want people to see when they look at email from you. Click Next.
|
|
|
4. On the "Email Address" page enter your email address. (ie. ). Click Next.
|
|
|
5. On the Email Servers Name page select POP3 for your incoming mail server type. Enter in for your Incoming Mail Server. Your domain will be either your domain, or eznettools.net. Enter smtp.eznettools.net for your Outgoing Mail Server. Click Next.

6. In the "Internet Mail Login" page enter in your email account name. This is the your x account number with a letter at the end(ie. , to find this account name click here, and pay special attention to the Get Info section.) USE A LOWER CASE "x"! You can also enter in your password and have it remember it so you don't have to retype it in every time you log in. Click Next.

Note: Be sure the check box next to Log on using Secure Password Authentication (SPA) is left unchecked.

7. You can now click Finish.
|
|
|
8. Click on the Mail tab and then select the mail account you recently created and click on the Properties button.
|
|
|
9. Click on the Servers tab. Then check the box for My server requires authentication.
|
|
|
10. Click on the Settings button.
|
|
|
11. Select Use the same settings as my incoming mail settings. Click OK.
|

12. Click OK on the Servers window and exit out of the Accounts window. You are now ready to start sending and receiving email in Outlook Express.

1. In Microsoft Outlook select Tools -> E-mail Accounts.
|
|
|
2. On the "E-Mail Accounts" wizard window, select "Add new e-mail account", click Next.
|
|
|
3. For your server type select POP3, click Next.
|
|
|
4. On the Internet E-Mail enter your information as follows. USE A LOWER CASE "x" WHEN YOU ENTER YOUR EMAIL ACCOUNT NUMBER!

Enter the password you setup for your e-mail account

5. Click on More Settings.
|
|
|
6. Click on the Outgoing Server tab. Check the box by My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication. Select Use same settings as my incoming mail server. Click OK.

7. Click Next on the "Internet E-Mail Settings (POP3)" page.

8. Click Finish. You are now ready to send a recieve email in Outlook
